Psychoeducational Assessment

Assessments for children and youth that provide information about their current strengths and areas of need.

A psychological assessment gathers information about a child or youth through a number of means, such as standardized tests, interviews, rating scales and observations. This assessment is a process, whereby we gather information that helps us to understand how an individual learns and processes information. Different elements of an assessment may be completed with children, youth, and various adults in their lives, to help identify more information about your referral question, and how to best support that individual. We aim to learn about a child/youth's strengths and interests, in order to best support their areas of need.

Types of Assessment Queries could include:

- Attention/focus/distractibility (e.g., ADHD)

- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

- Anxiety and mood concerns

- Intellectual ability/Developmental Concerns

- Learning difficulties

- Giftedness

- Behavioural challenges

MINDset also provides assessment for adults with attention and learning concerns, and cognitive assessments for PDD and AISH applications. Please reach out with any questions that you might have, and to inquire about more information.
